VeryGoodDrinks: Tiramisu Martini
For the base of our Luxardo Tiramisu Martini we opted for an equal parts build of Luxardo espresso liqueur, cognac, and espresso. The liqueur is robust enough to stand up to the cognac and just sweet enough to balance the espresso. The mascarpone foam is sweet, slightly tangy and the perfect pairing for the cocktail’s strong and bitter base. Cocoa powder really brings it all home so don’t skip this step!
This take on the espresso martini is decadent and dessert-y, but that bitter coffee base keeps you coming back for more. Call the slambulance, there’s a slammer in town.
Cocktail Recipe:
1oz Luxardo Espresso Liqueur
1oz Cognac
1oz Espresso
Shake vigorously with ice for a nice creamy texture.Top with mascarpone foam and dust with cocoa powder. *side of lady fingers optional but highly encouraged.
Mascarpone Foam:
150g Mascarpone cheese
150g Whole milk
100g Simple syrup (1:1)
1 barspoon Vinegar (3g)
Pinch of salt
Blend all ingredients until lightly whipped
MoreSavoryGoods: Tequila Espresso Martini
With the holidays around the corner, I was inspired to make an espresso martini with wintry flavors, and, with the help of @luxardousa Espresso Liqueur, made an After 8 inspired cocktail. I feel like the flavors of mint and chocolate really complement the dark chocolate and vanilla notes of the Luxardo Espresso Liqueur, and the result is a wonderfully complex cocktail suitable for not only Aperitivo hour, but also as a nightcap.
Reposado tequila is used here because i feel like it works well with the chocolate mole bitters and mint, but feel free to experiment with other base liquors. However, I do recommend using Luxardo Espresso Liqueur when making this cocktail as it pairs perfectly with the minty amaro and balances out the flavors for a traditional, yet elevated sip.
Cocktail Recipe:
1.5 oz Reposado Tequila
.75 oz Luxardo Espresso Liqueur
.25 oz Minty Amaro
1 oz Espresso
2 dashes chocolate mole bitters
bar spoon of rich simple syrup
Add ingredients to a shaking tin with ice, and shake until cold. Pour into a coupe glass, and garnish with a mint leaf. Cheers!

Coconut Fat Washed Tequila
Espresso Martini
There’s a new espresso liqueur on the market—and it’s an absolute banger. I figured it was time to take the new Luxardo Espresso liqueur out for a test ride in an Espresso Martini (done my way, of course).
By coincidence earlier this year, I found a way to make the most decadent, foamiest Espresso Martini by fat washing vodka with coconut oil. When shaken, the oil washed spirit emulsifies, intensifying the foaming effect with espresso to a near Nitro charged effect. So naturally I needed to run the experiment back, but with my favorite base spirit in an Espresso Martini: Reposado Tequila.
Given the dark chocolate notes from the Luxardo Espresso liqueur, I knew the combination of lightly aged tequila, coconut, and salt would be a near perfect combination.
Cocktail Recipe:
Pinch of salt
.25 oz | 7.5 ml 2:1 simple syrup
Heavy 1 oz | 30 ml espresso
.75 oz | 22.5 ml Luxardo Espresso Liqueur
1.5 oz | 45 ml coconut fat washed reposado tequila
Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice, shake vigorously, and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with shaved dark chocolate and 3 espresso beans

Espresso Martini Garnished 3 Ways
In my house, Luxardo is known for their delicious, deep ruby colored cherries I use in my Manhattans. So color me intrigued when they reached out asking if I’d like to try their new Espresso Liqueur. My answer was of course, YES!
We all know the traditional garnish for an espresso martini is 3 espresso beans, but sometimes it’s fun to mix things up. First let’s lean into Luxardo’s roots with a simple Luxardo cherry…or three, if that’s your style. Now if cherries aren’t your style, might I suggest a rich delicious mint chocolate? Grate over the top and you will get those aromatics with every sip. If neither of those float your boat and you really want to lean into the Italian Aperitivo lifestyle, then you have to go with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese.
Cocktail Recipe:
-
1 1/2 oz vodka
-
1/2 oz Luxardo Espresso Liqueur
-
3 oz espresso
-
*optional to add milk
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake hard, I mean really hard, really really hard. The harder and longer you shake the more creme you build and the more impressive your cocktail will look.
Double strain into a coupe or martini glass and choose your favorite garnish.
